Regulating Blood Pressure Naturally

High blood pressure is caused by arteries in distress and is one of the easiest symptoms of poor health to treat with natural remedies. The problem with the medical approach with regulating blood pressure is that there are many risks and side effects. For example, the use of diuretics extract water from your system. Lack of water, the most important element of your body, can cause symptoms such as; lack of energy, headaches, and muscle spasms.

Here are some tips to lower your blood pressure:
Exercise can help you lose weight (which then decreases blood pressure), but also increases circulation. If you exercise you are 34% less likely to develop high blood pressure than a couch potato.
Don't Stress. The adrenal hormones released when you are under stress automatically raise blood pressure, so if you are chronically stressed you may have chronic hypertension.
Keep your sodium intake to 2,000-3,000 mg per day.
Eat foods high in potassium, such as bananas, apples, avacados, lima beans (yum), oranges, and potatoes.
Cutting way back on sugar and refined carbohydrates may be as important as cutting down the salt. Sugar increases causes sodium retention, and therefore raises blood pressure
The best Cure-All. Believe it or not, drinking plenty of clean water is the best way to lower blood pressure. Depending on your body size, you should be drinking 6-10 glasses of water per day.
